David Muench is a Dark Fantasy writer with Caffeine & Ink Books. Originally hailing from South Florida, David spent the better part of two decades living around the world from Africa to Afghanistan during his time as a soldier before settling in the Pacific Northwest.
No longer busy flying around the world to thwart nefarious terrorist organizations and ruthless state actors for "The Feds," David can now be found furiously hacking away at a laptop, usually with one of four cats trying to sleep on his keyboard, writing grand and unreasonably dramatic story lines with his co-author and life-long friend, Dodger Arp.
The duo’s creative journey to authorship took off when they first started a wargaming club to take their love of narrative gaming to greater heights in 2010. From the bowels of this club was belched forth—Gamermancy, a fervent coterie humbly beginning as eight local gamers in South Florida; growing to over 350 players in various retail hobbyist locations all over the globe. Sharing stories of honor, glory, storytelling, and gameplay that shaped a fictional sci-fi world all their own.
When not writing, David works as a senior program manager in Seattle’s tech industry. He enjoys questing for new and unique coffee shops in search of the perfect mocha, while frequenting the plentiful punk and metal concerts that come through Seattle’s music scene.
He is a Scorpio with a love for kimchee and pinot noir... but not at the same time.
